The Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid recently hosted a successful institutional gathering highlighting Catalan culture, bringing together key figures from the political and cultural sectors.

The most significant cultural event took place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, proving a success thanks to the presence of relevant figures. The director of the institution, Valerio Rocco, emphasized his connection to Barcelona, while Barcelona Tourism Director, Mateu Hernández, highlighted the competition and complementarity between the two cities.

Both cities compete in many things, but they also complement and admire each other.

The meeting will be remembered for the high attendance of sector leaders, including the president of the Círculo, Juan Miguel Hernández León, and figures such as Jordi Clos, Ramon Agenjo, Pepe Serra (director of the MNAC), Ismael Clemente, Ainhoa Grandes (president of the MACBA Foundation), and former Congress president, Meritxell Batet. Mayor Jaume Collboni did not intervene due to national mourning.
Separately, the Barcelona cultural scene celebrated the literary debut of actress and playwright Ale Lacour, granddaughter of businesswoman Rosa Esteva (Tragaluz Group). Her first novel, Todos caen, winner of the La Mistral Nouvelle 2025 award, was presented at the +Bernat bookstore.
The novel, which mixes love and envy and takes place in Viladrau, was presented by the poet Miguel Ángel Feria. This launch follows the success of her play Perfect Ass in Madrid, which is scheduled to premiere in Barcelona in March.
