Cornellà de Llobregat launches extensive Christmas program featuring activities and sustainable lighting

The city of Cornellà de Llobregat, located in the Baix Llobregat region, is rolling out an extensive festive program focusing on family activities and energy efficiency in urban lighting this December.

The festive agenda, promoted by the Cornellà City Council, includes highly anticipated events such as the Oriental Camp and the Epiphany Night on January 5. Prior activities include the traditional representation of the Pastorets (Shepherds' Play), carol singing in markets, and the Artisan Fair.

Key proposals include the Children's Christmas Fair, running at the Cornellà fairgrounds from December 20 to 31. Other events are the Pastorets performances by the Patronat (on December 20 and 21 at the Sala Ramon Romagosa) and the Dona dels Nassos parade on December 31.
Regarding decorations, the city has increased lighting across more than 50 streets, featuring 1,430 decorations and 617,345 light points. The commitment to sustainability is highlighted, as the figures are made from biodegradable materials, such as recycled water bottles or sugar cane, reducing aluminum use by up to 80%.
