Scientific popularizer and Doctor of Biology David Bueno will close the Cafè amb Lletres cycle on Thursday, December 18 at the Central Library, presenting his book The Art of Being Human.

The closing event of this year's Cafè amb Lletres cycle will take place in the Sala Enric Granados of the Central Library and will be moderated by journalist Anna Ballbona. The work, published by Destino in 2025, was honored with the prestigious Premi Josep Pla 2025.
In The Art of Being Human, Bueno proposes a stimulating journey that merges arts, neuroscience, and education, inviting readers to question their perception of the world and themselves. The author uses a solid scientific foundation and everyday examples to illustrate how the brain develops through art, ranging from music and poetry to science and philosophy.

The work champions the Homo artisticus we all carry within, positioning creativity as a key driver for cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
