Six educational centers in Barcelona will host the Didaltruck and Reparatruck mobile units during the 2026-2027 academic year, offering free workshops on object repair and reuse for children, youth, and residents.

Starting this weekend, the Didaltruck and Reparatruck spaces are joining the municipal Open Schoolyards program. Throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, six educational centers in the city will receive these mobile units to bring the culture of repair and reuse closer to citizens, promoting more sustainable habits and responsible consumption.
The Didaltruck specializes in textile self-repair, providing tools and advice to fix clothing and explore creative reuse. Meanwhile, the Reparatruck focuses on repairing small appliances, electronic devices, and bicycles, offering knowledge for independent minor repairs.
These free services, promoted by the Barcelona City Council in collaboration with the Fundació Solidança, aim to empower citizens and encourage alternatives to premature product replacement. Activities will take place on Saturdays or Sundays, lasting three hours, in various districts of the city.
The planned schedule includes visits to centers in Ciutat Vella (Institut Pau Claris and Escola Pere Vila), Sants-Montjuïc (Escola Lluís Vives and Institut Lluís Vives), Les Corts (Escola Duran i Bas), Horta-Guinardó (Escola de les Aigües), Nou Barris (Escola Víctor Català), and Sant Martí (Escola La Farigola del Clot).
The Open Schoolyards program, driven by the Barcelona City Council with the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona and the districts, seeks to optimize the use of school centers as educational and social spaces open to all citizens during extracurricular hours.
