The PREvenim! educational vehicle from the Barcelona Fire Department is returning to the city's municipal markets for the fifth consecutive year, integrating into educational programs to raise awareness about fire prevention and self-protection.

The PREvenim! educational vehicle, from the Barcelona Fire Department, will resume its route through the city's municipal markets for the fifth consecutive year. The main novelty this year is its integration into the educational programs developed in the markets, allowing school centers to complement guided tours with activities focused on prevention and self-protection.
This initiative, driven by Barcelona Fire Department, aims to bring the culture of prevention closer to citizens and raise awareness about the importance of adopting safe habits to avoid domestic fires and know how to act in an emergency. Through practical explanations and participatory activities, attendees learn basic measures and action guidelines for risk situations.
PREvenim! is an old fire truck converted into a mobile classroom, equipped with interactive educational resources to understand the behavior of fire and smoke. It features mock-ups, real intervention tools, material for practicing small fire extinguishing, and audiovisual equipment.
The campaign is part of the "Better to prevent than to extinguish" initiative and began in early October with visits to the markets of La Guineueta, Canyelles, Vall d'Hebron, l'Abaceria, and Bon Pastor. At the latter, students also participated in a panellets workshop.
The visits will continue until early July, transforming markets into training and learning points. Through this collaboration, Barcelona Markets and Barcelona Fire Department reinforce their shared commitment to education, proximity, and citizen safety.
