This initiative, in collaboration with Amics de Sant Aniol and the Associació Gremi dels Margers de Catalunya, aims not only to preserve the cultural value of dry stone but also to highlight its important ecological function. The walls and crevices formed by these traditional constructions serve as shelter for numerous species, contributing to the maintenance of biodiversity and ecological connectivity within the natural space.
The Consortium actively works to raise awareness of this ecological role and promote the restoration of these structures. The workshops are designed to create a network of local volunteers, with the goal of dynamizing actions for the recovery of natural and cultural heritage. This line of work is part of the Visites amb Valors program, developed jointly with the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa.
The first workshop took place on October 12th, with the participation of 15 volunteers. The next session is scheduled for December 12th. Through these activities, the Consortium seeks to strengthen the link between heritage, biodiversity, and local participation, promoting a shared conservation of the territory with the community.
