The royal entourage made its appearance at the Port of Barcelona, overcoming the cold and snow conditions that have marked the beginning of the year in Catalonia. Barcelona Mayor Jaume Collboni was responsible for the solemn handover of the key that opens all the city's doors.
The route of the Three Wise Men Cavalcade will begin at 6:00 PM and will follow the traditional path. It will start at Marquès de l’Argentera avenue and Colom promenade, continuing towards Paral·lel avenue and Sant Pau ring road.
The cold will be freezing across the country, although the snowfalls that have whitened the landscape will gradually disappear until they become anecdotal by the time the cavalcades begin.
After passing through the Sant Antoni Market, the procession will head to Sepúlveda street up to Plaça d’Espanya. Regarding the weather forecast, the Catalan Meteorological Service (Meteocat) highlighted that the cold will be freezing across the country.
Meteocat noted that, although there has been snow in the interior and north of Catalonia, it will gradually disappear by the time the cavalcades begin. Protecció Civil has reiterated the call for caution, especially when traveling by car.
