Anticipation was high at Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona, where the appearance of the mounted guard and the first royal pages unleashed euphoria. Although morning snowflakes had worried attendees, the magic of Their Majesties prevailed, with excited shouts from the crowd.
The floats, filled with details and music, captivated the audience. King Balthazar debuted a float featuring djembes music and giant elephant and giraffe puppets. Children enthusiastically greeted the three kings, including King Melchior, who resembles José Creuheras, and King Gaspar, who looks like counselor Albert Dalmau.

The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, welcomed Their Majesties at the Portal de la Pau, handing over the key to the city so they could enter all homes. In total, nearly 1,300 helpers distributed about seven tons of gluten-free sweets, launched from the float of Page Omar.
The Kings also visited other Catalan towns. They arrived by sea in Blanes and Lloret de Mar, and took a train to Lleida, where they were received at the Lleida-Pirineus station by Mayor Fèlix Larrosa, before starting the local parades.
