The Barnasants festival inaugurated its 31st edition with the concert "Llach – Gener 76 – 50 anys" at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, recalling the historic performances by Lluís Llach half a century ago.

Fifty years ago, Lluís Llach's performances at the Palau dels Esports de Barcelona became a symbol of freedom and commitment, leading to the album Barcelona Gener 76, a key milestone in Catalan song.
The 31st edition of the Barnasants festival paid tribute to this anniversary with the commemorative show, which sold out the Palau de la Música Catalana. The event featured musicians linked to the original concerts and new voices such as Gemma Humet, Joan Reig, and Borja Penalba.

"He is surprised that many of the struggles from back then, such as the fight for the language, remain open or are even worse than fifty years ago."

To ensure sonic authenticity, the musical direction was handled by Manel Camp, author of the original arrangements, subtly adapting them to current sounds. Santi Arisa, the drummer from the 1976 group, also participated, reviving the spirit of the original team which included Laura Almerich, Tete Matutano, Quique Cano, and Quico Romeu.
