The incident took place shortly before four in the afternoon, when the Catalan police received a report of a shooting on Passeig de Taulat, at the intersection with Selva de Mar. This area, close to the beach, has several educational centers nearby.

The victim, a Serbian national, was transferred to the hospital in critical condition. The Mossos d'Esquadra have launched an investigation to clarify the motives of the attack and identify the perpetrators of the shots, who have not yet been arrested.

Initial police investigations suggest that several individuals may have been involved in the shooting. The police continue to work on gathering evidence and testimonies that could lead to the arrest of those responsible.
