The torrential rain episodes of September 29th and October 3rd and 4th have caused over 140 incidents on the path network of Collserola Natural Park. The Consortium, in coordination with local councils and administrations, is working to repair the damage, prioritizing access to facilities and homes.

The Park's technical services have recorded over a hundred incidents, mainly sinkholes in the path surface, slope collapses, and fallen trees. Additionally, more than 30 citizen communications have been received through Collserola Respon. The episodes were exceptional: on September 29th, 111 liters/m² were recorded in Vallvidrera, and on October 3rd, 159 liters at the Fabra Observatory, the rainiest day since 1914.
The most affected areas are the Vallès slope (Cerdanyola, Sant Cugat) and the Barcelona slope (districts of Nou Barris and Horta-Guinardó), where the municipal facility of Can Soler has been severely impacted. Of the 110 path sections affected, 36 are closed to traffic.
The initial priority is to restore access to facilities and homes. Subsequently, work will focus on the fire prevention path network. Paths over three meters wide are prioritized to ensure access for emergency vehicles. Actions are coordinated between the Consortium and the town councils, seeking funding for the most urgent or significant interventions.
The Consortium only maintains the dynamic public use network. Access to the Park's natural environment remains restricted due to African swine fever.
