The Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (ATM) announced that fares for Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat and metropolitan public transport will increase by an average of 3.5% starting January 1, 2026.

The ATM, a consortium comprising the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona City Council, and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, stated that the 3.5% increase is “necessary to guarantee the continuity, quality, and coverage of the service” in the region.
Despite the general hike, the authority committed to maintaining the 50% discounts on the most frequently used tickets, the T-Usual and the T-Jove, provided that the Spanish government continues to contribute its share of the funding.
This increase will result in higher prices for single tickets and travel cards. The single ticket will rise by 25 cents, reaching 2.90 euros. The one-zone T-Casual will increase from 12.55 euros to 13 euros.
Regarding monthly passes, the one-zone T-Usual will cost 22.80 euros (up from 22 euros). The T-Jove, with the 50% subsidy applied, will have a quarterly cost of 45.50 euros, half of its price without the discounts.
