The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, and the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, are scheduled to meet this week in Barcelona to discuss the current state and future of the Rodalies railway network, including pending works and damages from recent storms.

The meeting, set for Thursday, will take place during Puente's visit to the Catalan capital, where he will also preside over the Aena Hispanic-American narrative award ceremony. This encounter is crucial for addressing the railway infrastructure situation, a topic of ongoing debate in Catalonia.
The spokesperson for the Government and Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, has reported that the damages caused by a recent storm to the Rodalies network are estimated at approximately 115 million euros. This figure highlights the urgent need for investment and improvements in the infrastructure.
Regarding the transfer of Rodalies, the Catalan Government has already completed a comprehensive assessment of all assets required to effectuate the transfer of the R1 line. This information has been submitted to the Ministry of Transport for its review.

"The ministry is analyzing this information."
