In the Catalan capital, commercial opening is restricted to the tourist zone, with authorized hours from 12h to 20h. However, the only shopping center that will open is Maremàgnum, which maintains its usual schedule from 10h to 22h due to its special permit allowing it to operate 365 days a year.
The rest of the major centers in Barcelona city, including Westfield La Maquinista, L'Illa Diagonal, Arenas Plaça, Diagonal Mar, Westfield Glòries, and El Corte Inglés, will remain completely closed during the Epiphany holiday.
In the rest of the province of Barcelona, most centers such as Viladecans The Style Outlets, Màgic Badalona, Gran Via 2 (in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat), and La Roca Village are also closed. The only exceptions are the leisure and restaurant areas of Mataró Parc (in Mataró) and Sant Cugat Centre Comercial (in Sant Cugat del Vallès), which will be operational.
Regarding the other provinces, the main shopping centers in Tarragona (La Fira de Reus and Parc Central) and Girona (Espai Gironès and Gran Jonquera Outlet & Shopping) will also not open their doors. In Lleida, the Eix Comercial will remain mostly closed, although it is recommended to check the specific hours of individual stores, as they have the authority to decide on holiday openings.
