Rental Aid Call Open for Individuals Aged 36 to 64

Subsidies, available until April 30, aim to prevent residential exclusion with an expanded budget and rental caps adapted by zone.

From this Tuesday, April 14, until April 30, applications can be submitted for rental subsidies aimed at individuals aged between 36 and 64 in Catalonia.

These aids are designed to mitigate the risk of residential exclusion, in a context of strong pressure on the real estate market, and to allow citizens to maintain their habitual residence, provided they meet the established requirements.
To qualify for these subsidies, family income cannot exceed 36,279.32 euros annually, a figure representing up to four times the sufficiency income indicator of Catalonia, resulting from an agreement between the PSC and the Comuns. The budget allocated to this call has been increased by 106 million euros compared to the previous one, with the forecast of extending coverage to an additional 40,000 families.
The maximum rental prices to qualify for aid vary by geographical area. In the city of Barcelona and the regions of Baix Llobregat, Barcelonès, Garraf, Maresme, Vallès Occidental, and Vallès Oriental, the limit increases from 900 to 1,000 euros per month for housing and 450 euros per room. In the rest of the Barcelona demarcation, it expands from 650 to 750 euros for housing and 350 euros per room. In the Girona demarcation, it remains at 750 euros for housing and 400 euros per room, while in Tarragona it is 700 euros for housing and 350 euros per room. Finally, in the Lleida demarcation and the Terres de l'Ebre, the caps remain at 600 euros for housing and 300 euros per room.
The amount of aid adapts to the economic effort that rent entails for each applicant, with a maximum subsidy of 200 euros per month and a minimum of 50 euros, 30 euros more than in the previous call. Furthermore, aid is extended for large families, single-parent families, or those with a recognized disability and favorable mobility scale, with maximum amounts of 1,100 euros in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area and 900 euros in the rest of the territory.
The deadline for submitting applications ends on April 30, the same date on which the deadline for rental aid for those over 65 years old also concludes. All applications can be processed electronically through the Generalitat de Catalunya's Procedures website or in person at the locations indicated in the call.
