The signaling systems of Adif's Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) at Estació de França in Barcelona suffered two failures on Tuesday morning, causing brief suspensions and subsequent delays across the Rodalies network.

The infrastructure manager, Adif, reported that trains operating in the Barcelona area suffered disruptions early in the morning due to two generalized incidents. The first was recorded at 7:10 AM and was declared resolved by 7:35 AM.
Shortly after, at 8:06 AM, a new system failure occurred at the CTC, which was quickly resolved by 8:10 AM. Despite the rapid resolution, Renfe had to briefly paralyze Rodalies and Mid-Distance services during the minutes the failures occurred.

"The second suspension was very brief and was simply a readjustment derived from the first interruption."

These new problems recall the chaos experienced on January 26, when two incidents at the same center due to software issues collapsed the railway service in Catalonia and led to the dismissal of two high-ranking officials from Adif and Renfe.
The spokesperson for Renfe in Catalonia, Antonio Carmona, highlighted that Rodalies covers around 70% of railway demand and assured that the service offer guarantees mobility, either by train or through the alternative deployment of 150 buses and 700 informers.
