Trias made these statements during a conversation on La 2Cat's Cafè d’idees program, where he emphasized that, despite considering the PSC as Junts per Catalunya's electoral adversary, a union of forces could lead to a stable government.
“"I am one of those who believe that in this country, something that would be good is for Junts to govern with the PSC one day."
According to Trias, this alliance would
“"make a lot of sense from the point of view of electoral programs."
Furthermore, the former mayor advocated for reformulating Junts' relationship with Aliança Catalana, suggesting that
“"You have to sit down"
and rejecting the idea of a cordon sanitaire against the party led by Ripoll's mayor, Sílvia Orriols. He added that he does not perceive her as Junts per Catalunya's main political rival, warning that
“"If we believe that, we will be mistaken."
