Former Barcelona mayor Ada Colau expressed her support this Friday for Gabriel Rufián's initiative to build a broad left-wing alliance against the right-wing bloc.

The proposal by ERC spokesperson Gabriel Rufián has gained a key ally in Barcelona. Although other parties like EH Bildu have shown skepticism, Ada Colau emphasized the need for cooperation over party acronyms.

"It is a time for dialogue, generosity, moving past old quarrels, overcoming egos, and serving the social majorities to unite."

Colau warned of the political threat posed by Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Santiago Abascal, linking them to figures like Donald Trump. However, ERC leadership, including Elisenda Alamany, has distanced itself from the plan.
