The provinces of Barcelona and Girona are under an orange alert this Thursday due to intense rainfall and storms expected, according to AEMET.

The storm affecting northern Catalonia brings heavy showers, storms with risk of hail, and strong gusts of wind, particularly in the Empordà region. The Girona coast will also be on alert for rough seas.
Temperatures are expected to drop on the coast of Tarragona, while minimums will rise slightly inland. Frost is anticipated in the peaks of the Pyrenees.
Meteorological instability will be noticeable on Friday, with the tramuntana wind blowing strongly in the north of the territory. Forecasts indicate that showers and storms could be very severe in some areas.
