The renowned bakery Pa de Kilo, located in Barcelona's Raval neighborhood, has announced the opening of a second branch on Verdi Street, in the Gràcia district.

Founded five years ago by former chef Oswaldo Brito and Jordi Mestre from Nomad Coffee, the project is now growing. The new Gràcia space will focus on pastries and sweets, while the original Doctor Dou location continues its specialized bread production.

"The important thing is to control all the processes so that the bread does not overcome you."

Oswaldo Brito · Co-founder of Pa de Kilo
The bakery is known for its sourdough bread with a thick crust, designed to withstand Barcelona's humidity. They also stand out for their daytime working hours, starting at 6:00 AM, a move aimed at improving work-life balance in the traditional baking industry.
