The real estate investment firm AX Partners has completed the purchase of the Casa Luz Hotel in Barcelona for an estimated 45 million euros, marking a major deal in the city center.

Located at Ronda de la Universitat, the 65-room boutique hotel was previously owned by the Serra and Roig families. The 19th-century building is known for its popular rooftop terrace and high profitability, exceeding 6%.
The acquisition follows the exit of Sonder as the hotel manager. AX Partners, led by Aleix Recasens, aims to capitalize on Barcelona's strict hotel licensing regulations, which have driven up the value of existing properties.
With over 400 million euros under management, AX Partners continues its strategy of acquiring unique assets, adding this property to a portfolio that includes the Palau Castanyer and several luxury hotels in Sitges.
