A FC Barcelona supporter experienced a surreal moment this Tuesday after traveling to Exeter, over 500 kilometers away from Newcastle, following Google Maps directions.

The fan, who traveled from London to watch the Champions League match against Newcastle, ended up at the gates of Exeter City's St. James' Park. The confusion arose because both stadiums share the exact same name despite being located at opposite ends of England.

"I think he put St James' Park into Google Maps and it's guided him to the wrong St James' Park."

Adam Spencer · Exeter City ticketing lead
Upon realizing the mistake at the Devon club's ticket office, Exeter City staff decided to compensate the man's disappointment by offering him a free ticket for their match against Lincoln City that same night.
