The Catalan club reclaims the continental throne after last season's disappointment. The victory was achieved through a strong collective performance in a hostile environment. Players from Sabadell, Aleix Gómez and Dani Fernández, played significant roles, particularly Gómez.
Aleix Gómez made history by winning his fourth European title and becoming the first player to surpass 100 goals in the history of the competition's Final Four. In the semi-final against Aalborg, Gómez was the top scorer with eight goals. In the final, he scored six goals from six attempts, solidifying his all-time scoring lead.
Dani Fernández, making his debut in the competition, achieved his first continental title with a valuable performance, scoring two goals and contributing quality minutes, despite suffering an ankle injury in the semi-final.
During the final against Füchse Berlin, Barça excelled with solid defense in the first half, establishing a 20-15 lead by halftime. Despite a decisive red card for Ludovic Fábregas that tightened the game, the Catalan team maintained composure and defended effectively to secure the victory.
With this title, Barça concludes an extraordinary season, winning seven out of seven possible trophies. Gómez and Fernández will continue with the squad next season, aiming to further extend the club's dominance in international handball.
