Barcelona has established itself as one of the world's ice cream capitals, with a dozen establishments offering high-quality and diverse artisanal creations.

The Catalan capital has earned its reputation as a global epicenter for artisanal ice cream. The quality and variety of its offerings have transformed Barcelona into an essential destination for lovers of this frozen treat.
Renowned figures in the gastronomic world, such as Albert Adrià and Jordi Roca, have invested in the city with innovative proposals. Adrià, along with Alfredo Manchado, recently opened Gelato Collection on La Rambla, featuring 19 varieties that change seasonally, with fixed pillars like traditional, signature, seasonal, and alcoholic flavors.
Jordi Roca, on the other hand, presents Rocambolesc, also on La Rambla, known for its boundless creativity in the form of 'soft' ice creams, popsicles, and tubs with fun and surprising flavors like 'El Cul de la Lleona' (The Lion's Ass) or the 'Darth Vader mask'.
Other establishments stand out for their commitment to local products and entrepreneurship. Vibra Gelateria, born from the passion of four friends, has even served ice cream to Barça players. Meanwhile, Hijos de Nata, from the creators of children's clothing brands, combines design and quality in its offerings.
Paral·lelo Gelato, with locations on Sèneca and Ausiàs Marc streets, is known for the queues that form to try their artisanal 'gelatos'. The combination of ice cream and cocktails is the proposal of Badiani, which leverages Barcelona's reputation as a cocktail capital to offer a refreshing and innovative experience.
Other original offerings include Morreig, serving ice cream inside toasted 'brioches', and Delacrem Terra, which uses proximity products like hazelnuts from Reus or honey from Castelldefels to create unique flavors. Mamá Heladera, on Rambla del Poblenou, specializes in creating personalized flavors based on customer memories.
Finally, Lucciano's, of Argentine origin, surprises with a shop that resembles a spaceship and offers creamy 'gelatos' and 'ice pops' made with Italian ingredients, except for the Argentine dulce de leche. The diversity of flavors, including vegan and 'healthy' options, as well as sweet and savory combinations, completes the city's offering.
