Barcelona crowns 'Los domingos' in a historic night for the Goya Awards

The city of Barcelona hosted the 40th edition of the Goya Awards this Saturday at the CCIB Fòrum, where the film Los domingos emerged as the big winner of the night.

Directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, the movie won Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Director. Actresses Patricia López Arnaiz and Nagore Aramburu also received awards for their performances in the film.
Meanwhile, the film Sirat dominated the technical categories with six awards, including Best Cinematography for Mauro Herce. The gala also honored Susan Sarandon with the International Goya and Gonzalo Suárez with the Honorary Goya.
