Cycling fans occupied the streets from early in the morning, equipped with chairs and umbrellas to endure the high temperatures. Expectation was at its peak during the passage of the advertising caravan and the course reconnaissance by the riders, who received constant support from fans gathered around the security barriers.
The time trial route connected the Plataforma Marina del Fòrum with the Olympic Stadium, passing through major thoroughfares such as Aragó Avenue and Passeig de Gràcia. The organization implemented traffic restrictions in the area until 8:30 PM to ensure the event's smooth operation.
According to municipal estimates, the event could attract up to 600,000 spectators during this first day in the Catalan capital. The competition will continue with a second stage connecting to the Baix Llobregat region.
