The Verdi Cinemas are hosting the tenth edition of the BCN Film Fest, which will screen ninety films and feature the presence of prominent directors and actors. Concurrently, the Poble Espanyol will be the venue for the AMEBA Festival, dedicated to local electronic music, while the Palo Alto Gardens will transform into the Paradiso Cocktail Fest, bringing together the world's best mixologists.
The BCN Film Fest, celebrating its tenth anniversary, offers screenings at Verdi Cinemas, the Ateneu Barcelonès, and the Filmoteca de Catalunya. Among the guests of honor is actor Willem Dafoe, who will attend the screening of his film El Anfitrión on Friday at 9:30 PM. Additionally, the festival commemorates the centenary of Verdi Cinemas with a special screening of Els naufragés du sort, a 1921 film that premiered in the same venue a hundred years ago.
The AMEBA Festival, organized by the Barcelona Electronic Music Association, brings its local and emerging electronic music proposal to the Poble Espanyol. After its first edition at Cotxeres de Sants, the festival returns with more space, featuring performances by Monocrom!, B1n0, Marc Piñol, and Sonic Wave Collective, among others, throughout the weekend. Tickets cost 41 euros for the full package or 21 euros for a single day.
For cocktail enthusiasts, the Paradiso Cocktail Fest will gather ten of the world's best cocktail bars at Palo Alto, including Alquímico from Cartagena and Lady Bee from Lima. The event, held on Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 9 PM, will also feature a gastronomic offering with burgers from Antonia’s and Peruvian cuisine from Warike Project.
