The City Council of Barcelona will install 35 mobile fountains along the routes of the Tour de France to facilitate attendee hydration, in anticipation of high temperatures expected in the city.

This measure is part of Civil Protection's recommendations to prevent heat-related risks. The council also advises checking access points and mobility impacts before traveling, drinking water frequently, wearing light-colored, loose-fitting clothing, and protecting oneself from the sun with a cap, hat, or umbrella.
Spectators are also encouraged to take breaks in shaded areas or air-conditioned spaces when necessary. The municipal government reminds the public that the city has a network of climate shelters with over 500 designated spaces to combat heatwaves.
