The 48h Open House Barcelona association launches the Open Barri event in Barcelona throughout 2026 to invite citizens to discover the local architectural heritage.

This new proposal is launched within the framework of Barcelona's World Capital of Architecture 2026 designation. The main objective is to decentralize the focus on heritage, bringing it to the neighborhoods and highlighting spaces that usually go unnoticed.

Each Open Barri will last 15 days and will culminate in a weekend of open doors at the most emblematic buildings in each district.

Three editions have been scheduled throughout the year. The first will be the Open Barri de Nou Barris, from February 16 to March 1, 2026. This will be followed by the Open Barri de la Marina, from April 13 to 26, and will conclude with the Open Barri de Vallvidrera, from June 15 to 28, 2026.
The program in Nou Barris includes visits to heritage gems such as Masia Can Valent, the Sant Andreu cemetery, Torre Júlia, the Casal de Barri de la Trinitat Nova, Can Basté, and the Casa de l’Aigua. Additionally, the Casa de l’Arquitectura will host discussions on the social transformation of the neighborhoods driven by their inhabitants.
