The Barcelona City Council has initiated the Social Services Agora, an initiative aimed at giving a direct voice to users to improve social care in the city.

This participatory process's main objective is to directly hear citizens' experiences and gather concrete proposals to make social care more accessible, effective, and tailored to the population's real needs.
To achieve this, a deliberative assembly has been formed, consisting of 100 individuals aged between 18 and 80 years old. These participants were selected through a lottery, ensuring representativeness based on age, gender, nationality, and the type of social care received.
During the spring, a total of 10 in-person sessions will be held. In these meetings, participants will share their experiences and develop improvement proposals focused on three key aspects of care: access to the service, the quality of care received, and the impact of this care on personal autonomy and the creation of community ties.

"What could Barcelona do to improve Social Services and your situation?"

The general debate across all sessions will revolve around this central question, seeking solutions and ideas that contribute to a more robust and citizen-centric social services system.
