The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya has issued warnings for intense heat affecting the Barcelonès region since this Sunday, July 5. The forecast indicates that thermometers will climb progressively over the coming days, with values in the city center ranging between 33 and 34 degrees until midweek.
In the upper part of Barcelona, especially in areas near Parc de Collserola, maximums could reach 35 degrees. The heat episode could peak between Thursday, July 9, and Friday, July 10, with records reaching 36 degrees in the city center.
Nights are also expected to be difficult, with minimum temperatures unlikely to drop below 25 or 26 degrees. Although a slight thermal respite is expected next weekend due to an influx of cooler air at altitude, there is high uncertainty regarding the meteorological evolution from July 12 onwards.
