Barcelona Prepares for Extreme Temperatures with 'Barcelona at 50 ºC' Project

The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, presides this Wednesday, July 15th, the presentation of the project "Barcelona at 50 ºC: rehearsing today to respond better tomorrow", an initiative to tackle rising temperatures.

The event, held in the Saló de Cent of Barcelona City Hall, will also be attended by the Deputy Mayor for Urbanism, Laia Bonet, and the Deputy Mayor for Security, Albert Batlle.
This meeting marks the start of the Barcelona at 50 ºC project, an initiative within the Heat Plan 2025-2035. The aim is to enhance the city's preparedness for the most demanding heat climate scenarios.
A family photo will be taken at the beginning of the meeting, and images of the session's start can be captured. Media representatives will also be able to follow the mayor's welcome speech. Afterwards, the event will be held behind closed doors.
