The image of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was carried on shoulders from the parish of Sant Miquel to the Pescadors dock, where it was boarded to continue the procession at sea. The route, which began at 5 PM, combined a land segment for half an hour with a subsequent sea journey starting at 5:30 PM.
The march was accompanied by the sound of drums and trombones. The day culminated with a mass officiated at the dock itself, where a floral offering was made.
“"I never miss it."
Some faithful attendees, like a former resident who no longer lives in the neighborhood, expressed their devotion to the event. Another participant highlighted the beauty of the procession and the boat trip with the virgin, a tradition she discovered last year.
This past Saturday, the Gothic Quarter hosted the Festival of the Chariots, a celebration by the Hindu community.
