From the upcoming Tuesday, September 8th, and until further notice, the bus lane on Via Augusta in Badalona will be available for other vehicles outside of peak hours to facilitate circulation during the works.

The transformation of Badalona's center enters a new phase with works on Via Augusta. Starting next Tuesday, September 8th, the bus lane on this road will be open to other vehicles outside of peak hours. The aim is to facilitate traffic while redevelopment works are carried out on Plaça de l’Assemblea de Catalunya and the implementation of a new bus lane towards Mataró.
The lane will maintain its reserved use for buses during school drop-off and pick-up times, from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Outside these hours, other vehicles will be able to use it temporarily.
This measure comes into effect coinciding with the start of the school year, a period expected to see increased mobility. The modification aims to reduce the impact of the works and avoid traffic jams. The Guàrdia Urbana (Local Police) will reinforce traffic regulation in the area.
The City Council urges drivers to proceed with caution, respect the temporary signage, and follow the instructions of the Guàrdia Urbana. It is also recommended to consider potential disruptions when planning journeys.
