The Barcelona-based company Las Muns has secured 1.85 million euros in funding to accelerate its international growth from a new industrial facility in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Specializing in gourmet empanadas, the firm has tripled its production capacity with a new bakery that has been operational since August 2025. This central hub supplies most of its 50 locations, ensuring product consistency as it enters markets like Germany, Switzerland, and Portugal.

"We believe there is room to build a category with a future and lead that development."

Mariano Najles · CEO and co-founder of Las Muns
By centralizing production in Barcelona, Las Muns reduces labor costs for franchisees and maintains high-quality standards. The company aims to turn the empanada into a staple of the fast-casual dining sector, challenging the dominance of burgers and pizza.
