The Government of Catalonia has introduced a monthly grant of 500 euros for individuals under 30 years old who are currently preparing for public service examinations (oposiciones) within the regional administration.

This initiative, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat of Catalonia (DOGC), aims to reduce financial barriers for young talent. Preparing for these competitive exams often requires significant time and financial investment in specialized academies and materials, which can be prohibitive for those without a steady income.
Eligible candidates can receive the support for up to 12 months. Requirements include holding the necessary academic degree for the specific public sector role and proving effective dedication to the study process. The measure is part of a broader strategy to modernize the workforce as a large number of current civil servants approach retirement.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the official Generalitat web portal. While the regulatory framework is already in place, the grants will be awarded through specific calls for applications linked to different administrative bodies and professional scales.
