The Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, has decided to remove from the municipal plenary session's agenda a proposal that included a "productivity bonus" for "command" positions within the City Council. This measure was withdrawn before being put to a vote due to a lack of agreement with political groups.
The municipal government's aim was to reward those officials and managers who demonstrated exceptional performance and outstanding leadership. However, the proposal failed to garner the necessary support among the various opposition groups present in the council.
