Rail traffic throughout the Catalan territory is severely affected, hours after incidents at Adif's Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) forced trains to stop on two occasions. Delays are widespread and affect most lines, with waiting times exceeding 60 minutes in the most critical cases.
The lines experiencing the highest delays are the R11 (between Barcelona and Portbou), the R16 and R17 (connecting Barcelona with Tortosa and Salou-Portaventura respectively), and the RG1 (between Maçanet-Massanes and Portbou). On these routes, delays extend beyond the scheduled hour.
Circulation is affected across all of Catalonia, with delays that can exceed 60 minutes on long-distance lines.
According to Renfe, on lines R1, R2, and R4, users must wait an average of 30 to 40 minutes later than the scheduled time. On the R1, the service between Blanes and Maçanet-Massanes is being carried out by bus. The R4, which passes through Gelida, maintains alternative road service between Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Martorell, and between Terrassa and Manresa.
Other lines continue with suspended or limited service. The R8 is not offering train service due to an incident in the Rubí tunnel, with alternative buses running between Martorell and Mollet-Sant Fost. Lines R3 and R7 remain cut with an alternative road transport plan, while the Lleida lines (RL4, R13, and R14) operate with speed limitations and sections covered by buses.
