The mobilization, announced on Tuesday in a press conference, aims primarily to protest against what they consider "American imperialist aggression" and demand the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and Deputy Cilia Flores, who were detained following an international operation carried out this week.
“"This criminal kidnapping creates a very dangerous precedent for peace, rights, and coexistence in the world."
In addition to defending Venezuelan sovereignty, the entities demand the adoption of solidarity measures with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and call for the closure of the military bases of Rota and Morón de la Frontera, as well as Spain's withdrawal from NATO. They also urged the European Union to prioritize diplomatic channels for "de-escalation."
“"The attacks by the United States on Venezuela are not in the name of democracy or a supposed cleanup of drug trafficking, but are imperialist attacks to control the world."
Among the eighty organizations adhering to the unified call are political parties such as the CUP, Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), Podem, and the Comuns, along with unions like CCOO, UGT, and CNT, in addition to other social and civic organizations.
