Guardia Civil agents intercepted a 23-year-old passenger traveling on a bus to Paris a few days ago. The arrest occurred during a preventive baggage check at the Barcelona station.
During the inspection, officers discovered 220 grams of marijuana and 52 grams of hashish inside the detainee's suitcase. This action is part of routine operations to prevent the trafficking of narcotic substances and other illicit items at high-traffic travel points.
The incident took place around 10:30 AM when personnel from the Badía del Vallès post were conducting a passenger and baggage recognition check. They noticed a traveler exhibiting nervous behavior, which led to his identification and subsequent luggage search.
Following the discovery of the drugs, the young man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health for drug trafficking.
