Following last week's industrial action, union leaders sent a formal letter to the Generalitat. They are calling on Salvador Illa and Presidency Councilor Albert Dalmau to address what they describe as an open conflict within the Catalan education system.

The unions argue that the Government cannot remain silent after the recent protests. They insist that the administration must take political responsibility and engage in dialogue with the organizations representing the majority of the teaching workforce.
