The 'cavistes' club has begun preparations for a campaign that will extend longer than usual due to the World Roller Games, scheduled to take place in Asunción, Paraguay, from October 2nd to 18th. This circumstance necessitates a more extensive pre-season.
The most significant change on the bench is the arrival of Aleix Esteller, who makes his debut as the first team's head coach. Esteller will be supported by Xus Fernández, Jordi Del Amor, and Sebas Moreno, along with physical trainer Àxel Renau, forming the technical staff for what is expected to be a demanding season. The new project also welcomes Guillem Llorens, Josep Maria Virgili, Marc Zanón, and Humberto Mendes, who have already integrated with their new teammates.
One of the initial preparation events is the training camp in La Seu d’Urgell, currently underway this week. The team is balancing training sessions with various activities and their first pre-season friendly match against Cadí la Seu, scheduled for this Thursday.
Preparations will continue through September with four additional friendly matches. On September 5th, they will face CP Vilafranca, on the 9th, CP Vilanova, and on the 12th, SHUM, coinciding with the official team presentation at the Torneig del Cavastick. The final test will be on September 17th against the Spanish National Team, a particularly challenging encounter against a national squad preparing for the World Championship.
The Lliga Catalana, commencing on September 26th with a match against CP Vilafranca at l'Ateneu, will serve as the first competitive objective. Subsequently, on October 4th, they will host Pons Lleida, and on October 10th, they will visit Igualada Rigat. These games will be crucial for securing a spot in the Lliga Catalana Final Four.
