The 201st edition of Sant Antoni's Tres Tombs is being celebrated this Saturday in May, with a parade that began at 10:30 AM and will continue until 1:30 PM.

The traditional Tres Tombs festival of Sant Antoni arrives this year in an atypical edition, taking place in May instead of the usual January. The parade, initially scheduled for January 23rd, was postponed due to adverse weather conditions and to ensure the welfare of the participating animals.
The procession began its route on Avinguda del Paral·lel and continued through streets such as Tamarit, Comte Borrell, Parlament, Ronda de Sant Pau, Ronda de Sant Antoni, Villarroel, Floridablanca, Plaça de la Universitat, Pelai, La Rambla, Hospital, Sant Antoni Abat, Manso, and concluded at Plaça de Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
The start of the parade featured a proclamation by Toni Sànchez, a popular culture activist, in front of the Escola Pia Sant Antoni. Before the proclamation, the Gegants de Sant Antoni (Giants of Sant Antoni), the Gegantons del Mercat (Little Giants of the Market), and the Gegants de les Colònies Jordi Turull performed their dances.
The parade, composed of numerous carriages pulled by horses and donkeys, represents the historical heritage of city transport and recalls the mobility of past eras.
As is customary, the Catalan Federation of Tres Tombs has opened participation to the public. This year, the event included the collaboration of the entity Paideia and a group of families with deaf children from Barcelona, who enjoyed the festival from two carriages provided by the organization.
