Real estate tycoon Enric Reyna passed away this Friday in Barcelona at the age of 85, according to official reports from the Les Corts funeral home.

Reyna took over the presidency of FC Barcelona on February 12, 2003, following Joan Gaspart's resignation. He managed the club until May of that year, shortly before Joan Laporta won the subsequent elections.
A central figure in the Catalan economy, he led the Barcelona Developers Association for over 30 years. He was also the owner of Amrey Hotels and a long-standing member of the executive committee at Foment del Treball.

"Restless and humanist, he also left his mark on MC Mutual and Oncolliga."
