During the 76th regional congress of the party in Barcelona, the elected leader emphasized his organization's intention to "give their all" to build a Catalan capital that meets the needs of its citizens. This vision includes a working-class city, where the Catalan language plays a central role and which consolidates its position as the capital of Catalonia.
The speech, delivered after the internal elections held on Friday, also highlighted the party's lead candidate, whom he projected as the future mayor of Barcelona. To achieve this goal, he pledged to carry out extensive outreach work, visiting all 73 neighborhoods of the city to disseminate the republican project and connect with the citizenry.
“"We do not want vulture funds and speculators to play Monopoly with the city."
Furthermore, he expressed rejection of real estate speculation, stating that all Barcelona residents have the right to live in any neighborhood of the city and to develop their life projects without market pressures.
