According to the police statement, the suspects targeted individuals without residence or work permits near citizen service offices. The organization offered these documents in exchange for amounts ranging between 500 and 1,000 euros.
The purpose of these certificates was to simulate residency in Spanish territory to facilitate obtaining residence or work permits. The investigation, conducted by the Provincial Immigration and Borders Brigade, also revealed that the network contacted property owners, offering them a share of the profits in exchange for authorizing registrations at their addresses.
The police operation remains open, and further arrests have not been ruled out.
