The Fira Literal, dedicated to radical ideas and books, will celebrate its twelfth edition on May 23 and 24 at Fabra i Coats in Barcelona, offering free and open access to all visitors.

This cultural event, which promotes critical thinking, will include a market featuring a hundred independent publishers and cooperative bookstores. On the preceding days, May 21 and 22, Literal PRO will take place, a space exclusively for industry professionals.
The fair is driven by a collective of publishers, bookstores, libraries, graphic arts professionals, and community management spaces. The 2026 edition's program will feature the participation of various prominent personalities, as well as a stage for artistic expressions with music and poetry.
Additionally, a family zone with shows for children and a catering area offering cooperative, artisanal, and solidarity support experiences have been planned. The fair's hours will be from 10:00 to 20:30 on Saturday, May 23, and from 10:00 to 19:30 on Sunday, May 24.

The gathering is promoted by publishers, bookstores, libraries, graphic arts professionals, and community management spaces that work to disseminate critical thought.

Among the confirmed speakers for this edition are figures such as Álvaro García Linera, Ilan Pappé, Ash Sarkar, Dean Spade, Mariam Barghouti, Mark Bray, Arantxa Tirado, Ingrid Guardiola, Anna Gabriel, Aziza Brahim, Alba Sidera, Amador Fernández-Savater, Joan-Lluís Lluís, Sònia Moll, and Pilar Sampietro, among others.
