Around twenty ground crews from the Barcelona Fire Department and the Generalitat, along with aerial resources, are working to extinguish the flames. The fire was reported at 3:35 PM, and its origin is believed to be on the carretera de les Aigües.
The City Council of Esplugues de Llobregat has requested a preventive lockdown for residents of the Can Caralleu neighborhood and has evacuated the Espai Mireia as a precaution. In the city of Barcelona, the public has been asked not to approach the area and to strictly follow the official instructions from security and emergency services.
