The activist, who was deported by Israeli authorities along with another companion, landed at Barcelona Airport. His arrival follows his arrest on April 30 in international waters and 10 days spent in Shikma prison in Ashkelon.

In his statements to the media, the activist emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the situation in Palestine and called for an end to the passage of arms-carrying ships to Israel through international ports. He thanked family members and other activists for their support and announced his intention to travel to Turkey to continue his work.
“"We are not heroes, nor do we want to be. What we want is for people to talk, to explain what happens in Palestine every day."
The Spanish Government, through its Minister of Foreign Affairs, reiterated the illegality of the detention, as it occurred in international waters. Meanwhile, Amnesty International celebrated the activists' release, calling it encouraging news for human rights and an exception to Israel's policy of arbitrary detentions.

The organization highlighted the plight of thousands of Palestinian prisoners held without charge or trial in various Israeli prisons and stressed the need to investigate the torture allegations made by the activists.
