Confusion reigns on the screens at Sants station, where schedules often do not match reality, and staff are hesitant to offer accurate forecasts. This situation, repeating for the fourth consecutive day, has generated strong tension among users.
The time for patience is over, and it is time for diligence.
Some passengers, like Eva, have questioned the abusive practice of charging management fees to users attempting to change or return tickets due to the disruptions. Others, such as Lídia, traveling to Mollet del Vallès, have had to rely on live radio broadcasts for information, as personnel could not confirm if their trains would run.
Simultaneously, Sants station was the scene of a protest by Renfe drivers, who cite fear and a lack of safety guarantees following the landslide on the R1 line. Spokesperson Elisabet Ramos stated that the incident proved the service was resumed without adequate conditions.
The chaos began on Wednesday with the death of a trainee driver in Gelida (Alt Penedès), which forced a network review. Following Friday's new landslide, the Govern (Catalan Government) met with Renfe and demanded free service while the disruptions last, as only the R2 Nord and R8 lines are running normally.
